This class will help develop the skills and strength necessary to perform Olympic Lifts (snatch & clean and jerk). Appropriate for beginners looking for first-time instruction, as well as intermediate lifters looking to improve their foundations with hands-on coaching. Please note that this class is designed for individuals that do have prior strength training experience. Beginning participants should have mobility and confidence to safely perform the back squat, deadlift, and overhead press. Intermediate participants should have the aforementioned, plus some experience with the power variations of the snatch, clean, and jerk. This is not a class for general weight training.

Pickleball

Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis, and tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, much like a wiffle ball, with 26-40 round holes, over a net. This class provides general Pickleball instruction for new players. Rules, scoring, strategy and competition will be covered. Students remain engaged and energized moving thru various drills designed to improve understanding of the game.

Sailing: Learn to Sail
Sailors will learn the basics of rigging and sailing a boat including parts of the boat, points of sail, steering, tacking, gybing, weight placement and body movement, sail trim and sail control, and basic boat handling skills. Classes will be taught in RS Quest sailboats with 2-4 students per boat. Participants should be able to swim and are required to wear life jackets during the course. The goal of the class is to be able to sail to any nearby location in up to 12 knots of wind.

Sailing: Learn to Sail Intermediate
Build on the fundamentals of sailing you learned in our introductory course. The intermediate class will teach you how to manipulate the sail shape using sail controls, how to use a spinnaker, and also more advanced maneuvers like roll tacking and roll gybing.

Tennis - Beginner
This class caters toward the novice player or player with very little experience, the beginning class will cover basic grips, footwork and strokes of tennis including forehand, backhand, serves and the volley. Basic strategy will be covered as well as scoring and actual game play.

Tennis - Intermediate
This class is for intermediate players. You will learn how to polish fundamentals and skills such as grips, footwork and strokes of tennis including forehand, backhand, serves and the volley. Basic strategy will be covered as well as scoring and actual game play. Players remain engaged and energized moving through drills and games created to provide repetitive practice of the skills demonstrated over the class session.
