Who are we?

The Rec Cen Cashier's Office is an authorized US Government Passport Acceptance Facility. Avoid hassles and long lines at the Post Office! We offer all the necessary forms, expedited service, and a friendly staff.

What do we do?

We will gladly accept your complete passport application and forward it to Passport Services (U.S. Department of State) for an issuance determination. Only Passport Services can make that determination. We cannot.

What does Passport Services do?

It is the part of the U.S. Department of State which is responsible for making the final decision to issue or deny a U.S. passport - based on each indivudual application. Customers may be requested to provide additional information as determined by Passport Services.

When is the UCSB Passport Acceptance Office open?

At this time we are accepting passport applications by appointment only. Please call (805) 893-3738 to schedule an appointment.

How do customers check the status of applications?

Customers may check the status of their pending passport applications by calling the National Passport Information Center at (877) 487-2778.
