Group Fitness Program
The UCSB Group Fitness Program offers a wide variety of fitness classes designed to provide participants a well-rounded and complete fitness experience. Choose from our energetic cardio based classes such as step action and cardio kickboxing to burn calories. Specialty classes such as cardio dance, and fit challenge bring fitness into a new dimension of fun and sweat. Increase your lean body mass and muscle tone by including a pump or butts and guts class to your weekly routine. Our certified and professional instructors will ensure that you get the most out of your resistance training exercises through emphasis on proper form, technique and intensity. Work on balance and stabilization in the yoga stretch and core classes to improve your overall posture and functional movement.
Classes are sold together in a pass format. You can purchase a Primetime Pass valid for all classes or a Non-Primetime pass valid for all classes which start prior to 5pm. See schedule for this current offerings.
Group Cycling
UCSB Group Cycling is a high energy, heart-pumping experience open to exercisers of all levels. Choose from our multi-level classes to reach new fitness levels, jump-start your fitness program or serve as a great crosstraining tool for your existing fitness routine. Certified instructors will lead you through a variety of motivating rides that progress through the session. Classes are sold individually and do tend to sellout so register early.
Fitness Instruction Minor
The Fitness Instruction Minor is for students who wish to become
leaders in the growing Fitness Industry. Program emphases include
personal training and group fitness instruction.This comprehensive
minor program includes study of scientific and theoretical information,
practical training, and real-life experience in a range of health,
fitness and club settings. What makes this program remarkable is the
inclusion of extensive hands-on training, culminating in a ten-week
internship program that provides more than 160 hours of applied
experience. Our goal is to prepare future professionals for the
